What you do in Blackmonday

A whole empire in one browser tab

  • A living stock market

Prices react to news, crises and every player’s orders. Buy, sell, set stop losses and collect dividends.

  • Businesses and fronts

From newsstand to casino: hourly revenue, managers, marketing and an IPO where you get to ring the opening bell.

  • Crime and laundering

Fake invoices, insider trading, pump & dump, cargo heists. Dirty money has to be laundered before the cops notice.

  • Police and the courts

Investigations, lawyers, bail, plea deals and a judge who asks about the facts of your case. Lying has a price.

  • Nightclubs and the plaza

Live chat, informants, undercover FBI agents, scams, fistfights and trading duels against other players.

  • Gambling and loan sharking

The numbers game, slot machines and interest-bearing loans to other players. Collecting from a deadbeat without bodyguards can get ugly.

  • Syndicates

Build a family with a shared vault, perks against the law and coordinated speculative attacks on stocks.

Start in minutes

Get started in 3 steps

  1. Create your character

Choose the heir, the MIT prodigy, the Brooklyn hustler or the trading-floor veteran. Each starts with different advantages.

  2. Make your first million

Buy stocks, take courses and open your first business. In a hurry? The underworld pays better, and charges more.

  3. Survive the season

Launder the money, hire good lawyers, make alliances and get out of the market before Black Monday.

Frequently asked questions

Before you ring the bell

Is Blackmonday free?

Yes. The whole game is free. The premium currency, The Coin, only buys convenience and cosmetics, like energy refills and avatar frames, never victory. You can also earn The Coin just by playing.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Blackmonday runs in your desktop or mobile browser. Just create an account and play.

Does gambling in the game use real money?

No. The stock market, the numbers game, slot machines and loans only use the game’s fictional money. None of it can be withdrawn or exchanged for real money.

What happens if I get arrested?

You pick a lawyer, go through a custody hearing and may be released on bail or held until trial. In court, your answers to the judge change the sentence. In prison you can work, bribe a guard, appeal or try to escape.

What is Black Monday?

It’s the stock market crash that hits on a secret date near the end of every season, inspired by October 19, 1987. The warning signs show up first; spotting them in time makes all the difference in the rankings.

How long is a season?

About 28 days. At the end, the top players win prizes and titles and the world starts over. Your account, The Coin, achievements and cosmetics stay with you.

Which languages can I play in?

Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian and Simplified Chinese. Switch anytime, and your emails follow the language you choose.
